run hard, or go home
run hard, or go home

Attitude is everything. . .

I was looking for comments today since last night I put up my initial version of www.bradbushnell.com.  Somemone noted that my tag line at the top was a bit intense: ‘run hard, or go home.’  I know what this individual meant and ultimately he felt that it was a decent statement because it was meant constructively, but I feel that further explaining is needed.

I recently read Seth Godin’s ‘The Dip.’  I mentioned it before on the blog.  The spirit of the book is just that – be fully committed or seek another venue.  It’s challenging to live life consistently in this manner but I believe that there are many variations of this same theme.  It’s the spirit of the whole mindfulness movement — as I am told — and is also what I believe people mean when they encourage you to ‘be ever present’ in what you are doing.

The ‘B-squared’ piece is play on my initials ‘BB’ and will ultimately will be a logo but in the interest of time was deployed as such, however, I also mean it in the sense of be ‘ing, i.e. the state of being.  It’s that single compelling force which will move mountains, cure cancer, and heal the pains of war. . . . and of course a little bit of time.

If you haven’t read the book, pick-up a copy NOW!  Seth did a lot of work to make such a consumable and value added treatise and it will inspire you to change.
